One-Time Volunteer Opportunities
Each semester we invite students, faculty, and staff to join us for Volunteer Days. For example, in Spring of 2021, we hosted four volunteer days where students had the chance to get hands-on experience at the Macoskey Center in two shifts. The first shift was 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and the second shift was 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Watch our YouTube video about one of our past volunteer days here. If Volunteer Days are open for signups, you can sign up at our RockServe homepage.
Regular Volunteer Opportunities
Do you have a passion for or are wanting to learn more about the environment, sustainability, volunteering and community? Do you want to be competitive for one of our paid positions? Then, showing interest in becoming a regular un-paid volunteer may be the next step!
What would you be doing? Previous regular volunteers have helped with a wide range of tasks such as organizing, making bath & body products, property maintenance and care, gardening, weekly tasks, clerical support and help to support where help is needed.
How do you sign up?
For regular volunteer opportunities, please contact The Macoskey Center directly at macoskey.center@sru.edu. In this email, please express your interest, state why you are interested and mention what knowledge or skillsets you think could be useful at the MC!
