Non-Credit Internships
Non-Credit Internships for students below 60 credits are an opportunity to learn and earn while doing a “test-drive" on a career. This can be a repeatable experience that involves a partnership between you, ECWBL, and employers that integrates your academic study with work or community service experience.
We have two non-credit options available.
- General (NCI)
Students will work at an off-campus location with an area business or non-profit organization. The maximum number of hours per week will be determined by the employer’s needs and the student’s schedule. - Federal Work Study (FWS)
To be eligible for this program, students must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FASFA. Students will work at an off-campus location with an area non-profit organization. A maximum of twenty hours per week may be worked during periods of enrollment. The current base rate is $8.50/hour.
Students are paid on a bi-weekly basis for the number of hours worked. Students can apply for Non-Credit Internships on Handshake, SRU's campus employment platform or contact the Office of Work Based Learning. To access Handshake, click the link on the right.
