Academic Continuity Planning and Design
This vital function of CCAP plays a crucial role in driving academic success at SRU. Our CCAP professionals collaborate closely with data experts from the Office of Analytics and Decision Support, leveraging institutional data and AI-driven predictive analytics to continually innovate and refine the pathways to academic success. This approach optimizes student retention and graduation rates each year.
Using advanced predictive analytics systems, we monitor nearly 60 factors for each student, enabling us to identify which students need support and which students to introduce to new opportunities. This proactive strategy allows us to provide academic assistance long before students even realize they need help. As a result, our first-year retention rates consistently exceed national averages by more than 10% for institutions like ours.
CCAP staff also lead the University Academic Continuity Committee (ACC), a dynamic team of experienced professionals from across the university. This group includes experts from CCAP, faculty, data and analytics, academic advisement and first-year experience, our deans, and leadership from the Center for Teaching and Learning. The ACC meets regularly to analyze institutional data, engage in collaborative ideation, and take decisive action. Together, they continuously shape and refine our university into an evolving learning environment that maximizes academic success, student retention, and graduation rates
