The RN to BSN Nursing Program at Slippery Rock University is an online program designed to build on the Associate Degree or Diploma education of RNs with an emphasis critical thinking skills for clinical decision-making, collaboration in interprofessional teams, shifting focus from care of individuals within a community to the health of a community, refining professional communication, and developing leadership skills. Students receive a strong educational foundation for future graduate study.
The program can be completed on a full-or part-time basis, on the student’s choice of progression. The curriculum consists of 30 credits - 7 mandatory core nursing courses, 1 nursing elective, and 2 support courses (Statistics for the Social Sciences and Medical Health Care Ethics).
