Training, Consultation and Education

Slippery Rock University’s commitment to raising awareness of the dangers of sexual misconduct includes offering ongoing education through annual campus-wide training workshops.

Training for Title IX Team

All Title IX Coordinators, Deputy Coordinators, investigators, and those with authority over sexual misconduct investigations and proceedings receive appropriate training about offenses, investigative procedures, due process, and applicable university policies, procedures, and resources. The training platform used to facilitate this information is SUNY.

New and continuing students are required to complete interactive online training and attend in person sessions offered during the topics of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking and bystander intervention. For information on upcoming trainings, please visit here.

Training for Faculty and Staff

The 2024 Title IX Regulations require that all employees be trained on (1) the university’s obligation to address sex discrimination in its education program or activity; (2) the scope of conduct that constitutes sex discrimination under Title IX, including the definition of sex-based harassment; and (3) all applicable notification and information requirements. Training is required for all employees upon hire and annually thereafter. PASSHE is currently transitioning from Get Inclusive to Vectors Solutions for training modules.
