Welcome to Slippery Rock University! Your SRU account is required to access academic, administrative, and email systems while you are a member of the Slippery Rock University community. Below is information about setting up your new SRU account and a few of the most common systems you may be utilizing.

First Time SRU Account Setup – Students and Employees

Students – your admissions acceptance letter contains your SRU email address and initial password.

Employees – HR provided your SRU email address and initial password during your onboarding process.

Logging in for the first time is a multi-step process. It is recommended you begin this process on a pc, you will also need your mobile device (cell phone, tablet, etc).

Other – Students

MySRU – the portal will provide you access to D2L, Microsoft 365, grades, registration, financial aid, billing, advising and much more. MySRU can be access at www.sru.edu

D2L/Desire2Learn/RockOnline – delivers the online components of your learning experience. D2L can be accessed at https://sru.desire2learn.com or from the mySRU landing page at mysru.sru.edu or from within mySRU, select RockOnline.

Microsoft 365/email – can be accessed at portal.office.com or from the mySRU landing page at mysru.sru.edu or from within mySRU, select RockMail Online.

E-Time - if you plan to work on campus, you will apply for positions through Handshake and be paid through E-Time. Learn more about student employment here.

Other - Employees

MySRU – depending on your role at the university, the portal will provide you access to various resources. MySRU can be access at www.sru.edu

D2L/Desire2Learn/RockOnline – depending on your role at the university, D2L delivers the online components of course curriculum. D2L can be accessed at https://sru.desire2learn.com or from the mySRU landing page at mysru.sru.edu or from within mySRU, select RockOnline.

Microsoft 365/email – can be accessed at portal.office.com or from the mySRU landing page at mysru.sru.edu or from within mySRU, select RockMail Online.

ESS - you will utilize Employee Self Service (ESS) to review benefits, submitting leave, accessing pay statements, etc. Learn more about the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal.
