Program Hosting Minors

The central mission of Program Hosting Minors, a function of Human Resources in collaboration with Conference Services, is to provide minor individuals visiting campus for summer camps or programs throughout the year with a positive and safe experience, so they can learn and engage to their fullest capacity.

Program Hosting Minors is a function of Human Recourses in collaboration with Camps and Conference Services which strives to ensure minor individuals who visit Slippery Rock University to attend or participate in programs and camps are safe, and the University is following compliance regulations for ACT 153 clearance procedures and policies. The University’s Protection of Minors Policy, outlines regulations for departments and groups who wish to host programs or camps for minors on campus.

In addition, to meet increased demands for camps and Programs Hosting Minors, we offer a step-by-step guide which outlines all the necessary steps that need to be followed for a department or group to host minors on campus. Departments and/or groups interested in hosting a camp or program on campus for minors must complete and turn documentation into the Payroll and Student Employment Office 45 days prior to the program/camp date. The Program Hosting Minors Guide, along with other pertinent information and paperwork can be found in the accordion sections below.
