Silvestro publishes article in College English

John Silvestro, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of languages, literatures, cultures, and writing, recently wrote an article that was published in the journal College English titled “Remember then Recommend: Critically Engaging Spell Checker Algorithms and Other Text Recommender Systems as Memory Infrastructures.” The article proposes framing spell checker algorithms and other text recommender systems as memory infrastructures that shape the inventional and memory practices available in contemporary public discourse.
