SRU Dance Department hosting annual 60 x 60 x 60 concert, Sept. 22
Slippery Rock University’s Dance Department is hosting its annual 60 x 60 x 60 concert, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., Sept. 22, at the Dance Studio Theater in Stoner West.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.— Slippery Rock University's Dance Department is hosting its first concert of the academic year with two presentations of its annual 60 x 60 x 60 concert, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., Sept. 22, at the Dance Studio Theater in Stoner West. The concert features 60 dance performances by SRU students to 60 pieces of music, each of whichare 60 seconds long. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at sru.universitytickets.com.
This year's concert features a collaboration between the SRU Dance, Art and Theatre departments, with the theatrical performances, videos and other visual art accompanying the dance pieces.
"We are thrilled to have the Art and Theatre Departments collaborate with us," said Andy Hasenpflug, SRU dance musician and chair of the Dance Department. "The interdisciplinary nature of the 60 x 60 x 60 concert is a wonderful way to showcase departments working together to create an exciting event that offers a variety of creativity."
In all, there are more than 100 students participating as performers, choreographers, visual artists and crew members in the 60 individual pieces, including both solo and group performances.
