SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Money.com has named Slippery Rock University one of America's Best Colleges for 2024. Money evaluated more than 2,400 four-year colleges in the country and selected SRU to its list of 745 Best Colleges based on quality, affordability and student outcomes.
Using data such as graduation rates, net price of a degree, loan repayment rates, graduates' earnings and economic mobility, and other "value added" calculations, Money measured a school's actual performance against its predicted performance.
Money gave SRU 3.5 out of 5 stars in its evaluation, which was more than several institutions in the Pittsburgh area, including the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Robert Morris University, Chatham University and Carlow University. SRU was one of only three schools in Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education to make Money's list, joining West Chester University as the only PASSHE schools with 3.5 stars.
SRU's cost of attendance per year is $22,754 for full-time undergraduates from Pennsylvania and $26,862 for out-of-state students.
