SRU’s online master’s degree in criminal justice ranked one of country’s best

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Slippery Rock University's online master's degree in criminal justice has been ranked as one of the top 20 best programs in the nation by Online Course Report.
OCR helps students "navigate through online programs offered by institutions, providing insight on value and quality through thorough research."
The rankings were compiled by OCR editors based on criteria including rankings previously awarded by various news outlets, such as U.S. News & World Report; salary information from Payscale; hourly tuition costs; and whether the program offers two or more specialties.
SRU, ranked No. 12, was the only institution from Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education to make the list.
SRU's master of arts in criminal justice offers coursework on the three components of the criminal justice system, as well as criminological theory, research and statistical methodologies. The program is designed to serve the educational needs of working criminal justice professionals with a curriculum that offers flexibility for those who desire an advanced degree for workforce enhancement, and quality credentials for students who aspire to earn doctorate degrees in criminology.
