Karla M. Fonner, M.A.
Karla Fonner is the Dean of Students, Title IX Coordinator and the Chair of our campus Care Coordination & Behavioral Intervention Team. Karla received both her BS in Public Health and MA in Student Affairs and College Counseling from SRU and has been an employee on campus for 21 years. In her role as Dean, Fonner oversees two assistant deans and initiatives in Disability Services, Student Support and Personal Integrity. In addition to her degree programs, Karla is certified in Critical Incident Response, Higher Education Case Management, Suicide Prevention/Intervention and Postvention and Bystander Intervention.
Sunshine Mushrush
Sunshine Mushrush is the Assistant Director of Triage and Case Management. She triages all care referrals received through the Care Network and carries a large student caseload. Sunshine has worked for SRU for over nine years. Prior to moving to Student Support, Sunshine spent three years working as a Student Success Coach. Before that, Sunshine worked in Retention Services, Academic Services, and Undergraduate Admissions. Sunshine previously earned her BA in Communication from SRU and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at SRU. Sunshine is certified in Higher Education Case Management and QPR Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention. She has also completed Safe Zone training.

Earl Coburn, M.Ed.
Earl Coburn is the Assistant Director of Outreach and Case Management where he coordinates programming from Student Support, oversees the Boost program, and meets with students one-on-one. He previously worked at Slippery Rock for three years as a Student Success Coach. Before coming to Slippery Rock, he worked at the University of Pittsburgh as a part of their auxiliary services, oversaw day-to-day operations as the Assistant Director of Residence Life at Notre Dame College, and taught Intro to Communication at Kent State University. Earl has earned his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University.
Maranda Stack, M.S.
Maranda Stack is an Assistant Director and Case Manager with Student Support. Maranda received her BA in Psychology from Westminster College and her MS in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. Prior to moving to Student Support, Maranda worked as a Counselor in the Student Counseling Center for three years.

Tori Kapopoulos, MSUS
Tori Kapopoulos is an Assistant Director and Case Manager for Basic Needs with Student Support. Tori received a BA in Geography from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Sustainability from Chatham University. Tori has a background in nonprofit development, local government, and student leadership programming and development. Tori also has a strong emphasis on community engagement. She aims to support students in meeting their basic needs by providing resources and decreasing barriers so that they may be successful and achieve their goals.
Alison Stucchio
Alison Stucchio is the secretary for Student Support. She is a graduate of SRU with a BA in psychology. Alison worked in the social work field with at-risk children and families for many years before returning to SRU as clerical staff.
