Celebration of Achievement

Students, faculty and community members were honored at a variety of events during April.

The Celebration of Achievement, recognized SRU’s nominee for the Syed Ali-Zaidi Award for Academic Excellence.  Additionally, each college’s Outstanding Student In Research, Scholarship or Creative Activity and Outstanding Student Academic Leader were recognized.

The Office of Global Engagement presented two leadership awards.

In addition to the college awards, several President’s Awards were also awarded.

Presidential Scholars

A reception was held to recognize Presidential Scholars. Presidential Scholars represent the top 20 students in their class based upon overall grade-point average and meeting the minimum required credit hours at the University. (Required: sophomores, at lest 28 credit hours earned at SRU; juniors, at lest 40 credit hours earned at SRU; seniors at least 52 credit hours earned at SRU.) Students must have successfully completed a minimum of 12 credits during 2022.

Presidential Scholars receive a commemorative plaque and certificate.
