Visiting and Transient Students

Whether you are enrolled at a private, public, or PA State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), SRU has many options to help you get ahead and stay on track for graduation.

Before reading the text below, please be sure to identify yourself as a student from a PA State System of Higher Education  (PASSHE) or a student from a Non-PASSHE institution.

PASSHE STUDENTS ONLY:

• Many students from PASSHE schools find that taking courses at SRU during the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter terms help them get ahead and stay on track for graduation.
  
  
• If you are a PASSHE student looking to transfer only credits back to your home institution, you are considered a Transient Student applicant and should fill out the Undergraduate Admissions application. If you have questions, please contact Admissions directly at asktherock@sru.edu or 724.738.2015 and identify yourself as a Transient Student applicant.
  
  
• If you are a PASSHE student looking to transfer both grades and credits back to your home institution, you are considered a Visiting Student applicant and should fill out the Visiting Student application and email the PDF document to records@sru.edu once complete. If you have questions, please contact Academic Records directly at academic.records@sru.edu or 724.738.2010 and identify yourself as a Visiting Student applicant.
  
  
• If you are a PASSHE student looking to apply for Distance Education, in which your home institution has course sharing agreements available, you will fill out the as Distance Education application. The Office of Academic Records processes these applications and works with these students. Please contact Christine Agostino in Academic Records at christine.agostino@sru.edu or 724.738.2221 with questions.

NON-PASSHE STUDENTS ONLY:

Students from all other institutions are considered a Transient Student applicant.

A Transient applicant is a student pursuing an undergraduate degree at another institution but would like to complete coursework at Slippery Rock to transfer that coursework back to their home institution.

• As a Transient Student applicant, you must fill out the Undergraduate Admissions application.
