Katalin Borvendeg Memorial Fellowship
Applicant must be admitted to the SRU Doctor of Physical Therapy program and have paid the required deposit fee. Individuals with diverse cultural, racial, and experiential backgrounds, as well as non-traditional applicants, are encouraged to apply. The deadline is July 1st.
Ryan F. Chandler Memorial Fellowship
Graduate student currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program who has successfully completed the first semester of study within the program and who can demonstrate a plan to complete the DPT Program requirements. Student must demonstrate dedication to the PT profession through an eagerness to help others, and involvement in activities; student must demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills, and must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. The scholarship application opens January 25th, and the deadline is March 1st. Physical Therapy Scholarship Application is currently closed.
Donald and Claudia Graham Physical Therapy Fellowship
Graduate student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program who completed some or all their undergraduate coursework at Slippery Rock University who demonstrates a solid commitment to success in the Physical Therapy profession as evidenced by two letters of recommendation. One letter should be from the student's undergraduate academic advisor or faculty member at SRU, and the other letter should be from a volunteer supervisor or individual familiar with the student's work outside of the classroom. Recommendations should be sent to Dr. Kelly Lindenberg. Applicant must be a full-time student in their first semester of the DPT program. The award will be applied toward the 2nd semester tuition. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA from undergraduate studies and be a US citizen to be eligible. Deadline is October 1st.
Marjorie Christy Maguire Fellowship
Graduate student in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program who is in good academic standing and who has demonstrated excellence in academics, clinical practice and research. Applicants must have successfully completed the first semester of study within SRU's DPT program. Deadline is October 1st.
Hazel Andrews Reed Physical Therapy Fellowship
Third year graduate student in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program in good standing who demonstrates excellence in academics, clinical practice and research. Student must be a member of the APTA. Deadline is October 1st.
Anne Wuenschel Fellowship
Student must be enrolled in Physical Therapy 3+3 program and must be entering their first year of DPT program. Student must be taking on-campus courses to receive this scholarship. Award recipient will be selected from 3+3 DPT students in their first semester of the graduate program. Selection will be based on students DPT application materials. No scholarship application is required.
