Dec. 19, 2024
Four Slippery Rock University students from the Association of Residence Hall Students, SRU Chapter, presented at the ARHS’s regional conference, Nov. 8-10, at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. After months of preparation, ARHS students submitted and presented a bid to host next year’s conference.
Their efforts paid off, as SRU won the bid and will welcome students from the Central Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls to campus next November for the CAACUR’s annual regional leadership conference.
The students who presented were:
- Gianna Kraus, a junior biology major from Murrysville.
- McKenzie Kuth, a junior mathematics major from Leechburg.
- Abigail Mortensen, a sophomore dual criminology-criminal justice and social work major from Pittsburgh.
- Ryan Schmidt a sophomore computing major from Leechburg.
The ARHS is an on-campus organization at SRU made up of students living within residence halls who advocate for the needs of residence hall students through programming and other support.
