Tsai earns RCRA Excellence in Research award

Frank Tsai, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of sport management, hospitality and tourism, was recently selected for an award by the Resort and Commercial Recreation Association.

Tsai was selected for the Excellence in Research award because of his valuable contribution to selected pieces of research that were presented at the RCRA Research Symposium at the National Conference. Tsai and his colleagues administered the 2023 RCRA wage, benefit and job satisfaction survey, and the results were used to provide attendees with data to help them advocate for equitable pay in their current positions. They also shared a vast scope of the resort recreation industry, job tips, salaries and helped attendees set goals for future career growth.

RCRA is a professional association that serves the recreation industry by encouraging collaboration and networking among the membership.
