Firestone named CEO of Eastside Distilling

Lawrence Firestone, a 1981 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in business administration, was named chief executive office of Eastside Distilling, Inc., the first and only publicly traded craft distillery in the U.S.

Firestone, who has more than 35 years' of enterprise, operations and financial management experience in multiple industry sectors, was most recently the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Akonni Biosystems, a privately held developer of molecular diagnostic platforms.

Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Eastside Distilling's portfolio of brands include several award-winning spirits, including the Burnside Whiskey family and Redneck Riviera.
