SRU faculty-student group presents at National Oral History Association Conference

A faculty-student group from the Slippery Rock University Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Writing Department presented research at the National Oral History Association Conference, Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, in Cincinnati.
Danette DiMarco, professor; Mark O’Connor, associate professor; Delynn Jasmer, a senior English literature major from Greenville; and Emma Pruett, a junior English writing major from Irwin, presented a piece titled “The Future Collectors: Undergraduate Students Curate Community Stories.” The presentation focused on how undergraduates learn to ethically collect, interpret, document and circulate the stories of marginalized voices from on- and –off-campus communities.
