Strahler presents at IARSLCE conference

Doug Strahler, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of strategic communication and media, presented at the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement conference, Oct. 24-26, at Tulane University in New Orleans. Strahler’s presentation titled, “Reinforcing Inclusive Design in a Digital Media & Community-Engaged Learning Course,” focused on the community-engaged learning approach to the Digital Media Production Capstone course. Strahler also served on the conference planning committee, where he assisted with general conference planning, reviewed paper/panel proposals and volunteered at the conference.

IARSLCE is a network that consolidates the value of service-learning and community engagement for their understanding of the world and communities. More than 275 scholars and professionals attended the conference.
