Ambrosio re-elected to NASD board, appointed to accrediting position

Nora Ambrosio, a Slippery Rock University professor of dance, was elected to a second term as a board member for the National Association of Schools of Dance. 

As part of work with the NASD, Ambrosio is the NASD representative to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Precollegiate Arts Schools, and serves on the NASD Commission on Accreditation, conducting four-hour training sessions for future accreditation site visitors.

The NASD is an organization of schools, conservatories, colleges and universities that establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials for dance and dance-related disciplines. With 83 accredited institutional members, the NASD assists institutions and individuals engaged in artistic, scholarly, educational and other dance-related endeavors.
