Jackson raises disability sport awareness in Union Area School District

Dallas Jackson, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of physical and health education, hosted a disability sport awareness and education program for middle and high school students aimed at influencing their attitudes toward individuals with disabilities.

Across two days, Jackson engaged more than 300 students in grades 6-12 from Union Area Middle/High School in New Castle in numerous disability sport activities designed to be fun, challenging and perspective changing.
