Everden reaches coaching milestone at Amherst College

Sue Everden, a 1977 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in physical education, recently eclipsed the 1,000-win milestone as a coach of multiple sports at Amherst College in Massachusetts.

Everden won her 700th match as Amherst's volleyball coach, and combined with wins as the previous head coach of Amherst's squash, lacrosse and softball teams, she has the most coaching wins in school history.

In her 33rd year as Amherst's volleyball coach, Everden ranks in the top 20 all-time among NCAA Division III coaches with a .718 winning percentage.
