Dafoe among 125 higher education leaders to complete the HERS program

Nicole Dafoe, the Slippery Rock University dean of the College of Engineering and Science, was among 125 higher education leaders across the United States successfully completing the 2024 Higher Education Resources Services Leadership Institute, otherwise known as the HERS program.

Consisting of three cohorts that meet in June at the University of Pennsylvania or in July at the University of Denver, the program equips women and gender-diverse leaders in higher education with the skills and confidence to create inclusive and equitable institutional futures while fostering a diverse network of perspectives.

The HERS program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and sustaining a diverse network of higher education leaders through transformative programming, coaching and peer support.
