Nanami Mano, a Slippery Rock University graduate student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program from Greenville, received the 2021 Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association’s award for Best Special Interest Report.

Mano presented her report, titled “Assisted Living Facility: A Collaborative Approach,” virtually at the PPTA annual conference earlier this month. The awards committee of the PPTA selects awards for special interest groups in the categories of excellence in patient care or clinical practice, excellence in education or research, and community advocacy. Recipients are PPTA members.

The PPTA, a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association, represents, advocates and advances the practice of physical therapy in Pennsylvania, representing more than 5,700 physical therapist and physical therapist assistant members and more than 1,000 student members.
