Sigmund honored by Beta Beta Beta

William Sigmund, a Slippery Rock University professor emeritus of biology, was honored with the 2020 Yokely Faculty Service Award for Outstanding Service by the national biology honorary, Beta Beta Beta. Sigmund was selected by the national executive board based on his “extended and extraordinary service” to the society which spanned more than 40 years as adviser of SRU’s local chapter.

Beta Beta Beta’s mission is to improve the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extend boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. The society has 626 chapters nationwide.
