Mendenhall co-authors article about bird extinction in Science magazine

Chase Mendenhall, a Slippery Rock University physician assistant graduate student from Pittsburgh, recently co-authored an article that was published in Science magazine titled, “The global loss of avian functional and phylogenetic diversity from anthropogenic extinctions.”

The article highlights how human actions have led to the extinction of 610 bird species, significantly impacting global biodiversity.

Founded in 1880 and published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Science is one of the world’s top academic journals with more than 130,000 subscribers.
