Oct. 15, 2019
Pragati Rawat, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of political science, recently had a paper published in the Journal of Environmental Studies and Science, a publication of the Association of Environmental Sciences and Studies that recognizes and evaluates interdisciplinary research, practice and public policies.
Rawat's paper, coauthored with three other academicians from Old Dominion University and the University of Colorado, Boulder, is titled "The action-oriented stakeholder engagement for a resilient tomorrow (ASERT) framework: An effective, field-tested approach for engaging stakeholders." The ASERT framework, which was field-tested near the coast of Virginia in 2016, provides a participatory approach for actions related to social-ecological resilience and how they affect sea level rise.
