Ihlenfeld promoted to Butler YMCA executive director

Sandra Ihlenfeld, a 2010 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in exercise science, has been promoted to executive director of the Butler County Family YMCA.

Ihlenfeld, who has been employed by the Butler County Family YMCA since 1996, was most recently its vice president of organizational advancement. A 2017 recipient of the SRU Young Alumni Award recognizing professional and personal accomplishments, Ihlenfeld has received several awards from the YMCA and related professional associations.

During her career, Ihlenfeld has provided leadership and strategic direction of healthy living departments within two diverse YMCA units and developed on-site exercise programs for local companies. The Butler County Family YMCA serves more than 20,000 members at three locations.
