SRU’s computing program receives reaccreditation

Slippery Rock University’s computing program received its reaccreditation with the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology through September 2029. The ABET accreditation is an evaluation of computer science programs' quality across a plethora of categories including preparedness for the current job market and the skill sets students graduate with. Raed Seetan, an associate professor of computer science who chaired the ABET accreditation, played a key role in the reaccreditation of the program by assisting in tasks such as data collection and creating a self-study for faculty.
