Dolan, Fleming present newspaper research at AEJMC conference

Emily Dolan and Brittany Fleming, Slippery Rock University assistant professors of communication, recently presented at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s virtual conference.

Dolan and Fleming presented their paper “How Student Newspapers Use Editorials in a Crisis” as part of the AEJMC Council of Affiliates’ Refereed Paper session. They summarized their findings from a research study they conducted during the summer that looked into how award-winning, national newspapers initially framed and responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.
