Maltman co-authors study about new bacterial genus and species

Chris Maltman, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of biology, co-authored a paper that was published in the journal Archives of Microbiology describing new bacterial genus and two new species isolated from alpine meromictic lakes in British Columbia, Canada. Maltman and several collaborators explored how seven Gram-negative flagellated and subsequent prosthecate bacteria were isolated from meromictic in Mahoney Lake and Blue Lake in Canada.
