Bartek and Brungard co-author article about sustainability in libraries

Jennifer Bartek, Slippery Rock University manager of library operations, and Allison Brungard, instructor of library, recently co-authored an article about sustainability in libraries for the American Libraries Magazine, a publication of the American Library Association.

The article, titled "Sustaining Sustainability," explains how the SRU Bailey Library infused "green" practices, including composting, paper reuse, printing reduction and single-use plastic reduction. The article is part of a series marking the 50th anniversary of Earth Day where information professionals, like Bartek and Brungard, share their experiences with the more than 65,000 subscribers of American Libraries Magazine.
