Werner appointed to NCTM Joint Committee on Women

Judy Werner, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of elementary education and early childhood, was appointed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics to the Joint Committee on Women in the Mathematical Sciences.

The JCW works with NCTM and other member organizations to share information about effective mechanisms and best practices for attracting and retaining women to careers in mathematical and statistical sciences, and creating a professional community that is welcoming and supportive regardless of gender.
