Becky Thomas, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of parks, conservation and recreational therapy, recently had an article published in the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Education Research.
Thomas was the lead author of "Metrics and outcomes of conservation education: a quarter century lessons learned," which explored the need to better connect issues addressed through conservation education programs with metrics and methods for evaluating program outcomes.
Samantha Laurence, a graduate student majoring in park and resource management and environmental education from Grove City, assisted Thomas with edits and analysis as a co-author.
Environmental Education Research is an international refereed journal that publishes papers and reports on all aspects of environmental education to help advance understanding of environmental and sustainability education.
