Eisenreich awarded modern band fellowship through Little Kids Rock

Cassandra Eisenreich, Slippery Rock University instructor of music, was awarded the Modern Band Higher Education Fellowship through Little Kids Rock, a nonprofit organization that supports music education.

Eisenreich will travel to Montclair State University in May to receive training in incorporating modern band pedagogies into pre-service music teacher education programs as well as instruction playing music instruments. Also through the fellowship, the SRU Music Department will receive free instruments, including electric basses, guitars, a drum set, keyboards and technology equipment.
