Payne awarded Delta Kappa Gamma scholarship

Ursula Payne, a Slippery Rock University professor of dance, has received the Golden Anniversary Scholarship from The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a professional honor society that promotes the growth of women educators and excellence in education. Payne, who is enrolled in the dance studies doctoral program at Texas Woman’s University, will receive $10,000 for the 2021-22 academic year. DKG has awarded nine Golden Anniversary Scholarships to society members who are enrolled in doctoral programs. Recipients must provide excellence in scholarship and service to the community.
