Schmeltz presents at OT conference with SRU students

Bernadette Schmeltz, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of occupational therapy, presented three sessions at the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association Spring 2021 Conference, a virtual meeting conducted March 21. Each of Schmeltz’s sessions were co-presented with a different SRU doctoral student of occupational therapy. They included “Student Veterans’ Experiences in Post-Secondary Education from an Occupational-Based Perspective” with Jenna Trinh, from Middleburg, Florida; “Effectiveness of Dynamic Seating on Attention During Classroom Activities” with Carolina Pluta from Slippery Rock; and “The Value of Service Dogs for Student Veterans” with Sarah May from Pittsburgh. The NCOTA is an association for occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants and occupational therapy students that is affiliated with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
