Jenny’s paper about sport video games published in Entertainment Computing

Seth Jenny, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of exercise science and athletic training, recently wrote a paper that was published in the peer reviewed academic journal Entertainment Computing.

Jenny’s paper, “‘A Bunch of Big Idiots Smack into Each Other’ – A Mixed-Method Investigation of Learning Rugby through Video Gaming Compared to Traditional Instruction,” analyzed whether playing a sedentary sport video game is more effective than traditional hands-on instruction in learning a new sport, and whether playing such a game motivated the future viewing or playing intentions of the authentic sport.
