SRU student attends Orchestral Audition Boot Camp

Sydney Eastman, a senior dual major in music and secondary education/foundations of education from Centerville, won a spot at Brook Ferguson's Orchestral Audition Boot Camp last month in Miami Beach, Florida.

The five-day intensive course was geared toward advanced college undergraduates, pre-professional and professional flutists seeking to improve their audition preparation and performance. Up to seven flutists are invited to the course based on an audition.

Eastman is a member of the SRU Flute Studio ensemble. During the course, Eastman received feedback from Ferguson, a highly acclaimed soloist and orchestral artist who is the principal flutist of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra.
