Brown named Outstanding Student by RCRA

McKenna Brown, a 2020 Slippery Rock University graduate with a degree in resort, recreation and hospitality management, won the Outstanding Student Award at the Resort and Commercial Recreation Association's National Conference, which was hosted virtually last month.

The award recognizes an outstanding RCRA student or intern who has worked to make a positive contribution to the association, their property or university. Brown worked as a social media intern for the RCRA, playing a key role in the association’s online presence during the pandemic to engage RCRA members with engaging content.

RCRA is a membership organization of educators, professionals, students and vendors who work in the recreation and hospitality industries.
