SRU online master’s degree in special education earns national recognition

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's online master's degree in special education: grades 7-12 has been ranked among the nation's Top 50 best degree programs by onlinemasters.com.
The program provides for a continuation of studies initiated during SRU's undergraduate program and permits students to develop state-of-the-art competencies in the special education field. The program is offered to students that already have an Instructional I or II Certification in Special Education or a secondary content area such as English, math, science(s) or social studies from Pennsylvania or other states.
Methodology for the rankings included:

o Student services and technology
• Affordability (20 percent)
o Average net cost
o Percent of students with loans and default rate
SRU was ranked 28th out of 50 programs.
