SRU announces provost candidate open sessions
Five candidates for Slippery Rock University’s provost and vice president of academic affairs will be on campus for interviews Nov. 7, 11, 18, 21 and 25.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Five candidates for the position of provost and vice president of academic affairs at Slippery Rock University will visit campus in November. As part of their visits, each candidate will deliver a public presentation and answer questions during an open session. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited to the open sessions.
Open sessions are:
• Candidate A, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Nov. 7, Smith Student Center, Room 321.
• Candidate B, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Nov. 11, SSC, Room 321.
• Candidate C, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Nov. 18, SSC, Room 321.
• Candidate D, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Nov. 21, SSC, Room 321.
• Candidate E, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Nov. 25, SSC, Room 320.
Candidates' names and vitae will be posted two days before the candidate's interview and remain online for one week. A response form for open session attendees to provide feedback to the search committee will be available online Nov. 7 to Dec. 2.
In addition to the open sessions, each candidate will meet individually with SRU President William Behre and/or the Provost's Office staff; the 12-person search committee; the President's Cabinet; the Academic Affairs Executive Council; executive leadership from APSCUF, the faculty union at SRU; and academic department chairpersons. The candidates will have lunch with SRU students.
