Slippery Rock University's Martha Gault Art Gallery staged an opening reception Oct. 1 for its latest exhibition, "Exhibition of Late Career Artwork" from the studios of Glen Brunken. Brunken (1943-2013) spent four decades at SRU as professor in the University's Art Department from 1969-2009. He was a highly regarded expressionist artist who received the prestigious Master Visual Artist award, with records archived at the Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center. This exhibition runs through Nov. 1. The Martha Gault Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Maltby Center.
