A sea of humanity washed over the streets of downtown Slippery Rock Sept. 22 as thousands of people from far and wide attended VillageFest. Attendees enjoyed a variety of vendors, live entertainment, children's games, community booths and plenty of great carnival food. Many Slippery Rock University students and their families, participating in the annual Friends and Family weekend event at the University, joined the fun as well. SRU President Bill Behre got in on the fun, sitting in the "wet seat" of the event's charity dunk tank. His participation made a big splash, we're sure.
