As part of Slippery Rock University Art Department's annual global engagement project, students in the Advanced Studio Fiber Art class, taught by Barbara Westman, professor of art, created outdoor banners that are being displayed around SRU's campus. Students worked remotely with art students from the Universidad de Costa Rica, Escuela de Artes Plásticas, in Costa Rica to create banners depicting Costa Rican culture, history, art, nature and daily life. The banners will be displayed on various lampposts through Oct. 8.
