Slippery Rock University students, staff and faculty gathered this morning to celebrate a milestone in the on-going construction of the University's Performing Arts Center, and in particular, the placement of the last steel beam at Miller Auditorium. The placement of the beam signifies that the construction process has reached its highest point, as well as providing a huge sigh of relief for the College of Liberal Arts and a huge cross-section of our students from a variety of majors - dance, music, theatre and more - who will be able to hone their crafts inside this building, as well as East and West gyms. West Gym construction is expected to be completed at the end of 2019; East Gym late in the first quarter of 2020; and Miller Auditorium late in the second quarter of 2020.
