Senator Elder Vogel, State Representative Aaron Bernstine and Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche visited Slippery Rock University's Student Government Association Preschool and Child Care Center Sept. 17 to read stories to students. The "guest readers" were on campus for a roundtable discussion about Pre-K Counts, a program administered by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning that recently awarded a grant, worth $297,500, to the center that will ensure continued access to high quality pre-kindergarten classes for area children at the preschool.
