Slippery Rock University's Martha Gault Art Gallery staged an opening reception Sept. 4 for its latest exhibition, "Grit," by artist Rabecca Signoriello. A graduate of Edinboro University and The New York Academy of Art, Signoriello presents figurative images of humanity at work through "heroic-sized paintings" that represent the value of labor, the dignity of hard work and family. The exhibition runs through Sept. 26. The Martha Gault Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Maltby Center.
