Slippery Rock University ranked No. 105 on the Washington Monthly’s national ranking of Master’s Universities.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Washington Monthly released its 2024 College Guide and Rankings and Slippery Rock University placed in the top 20% of institutions ranked in its category. SRU was also named one of the "Best Bang for the Buck" colleges for affordability.

SRU ranked 105th out of nearly 600 schools in the Master's Universities rankings, which are schools that "award a significant number of master's degrees but few or no doctoral degrees." SRU offers four doctoral programs and more than 40 master's-level degrees and certificates.

Washington Monthly's editors rank four-year schools based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research and providing opportunities for public service.

SRU was listed among Washington Monthly's "Best Bang for the Buck" colleges, measured by how well non-wealthy students obtain marketable degrees at affordable prices. SRU ranked 180th among nearly 400 institutions in the Northeast region.
